Small But Mighty – The Adhesive Eraser To The Rescue!

Those that know me well know this is one of my favorite Stamping products and would be on my list for the top 10 Must haves. While it is not a new addition to the Stampin’ Up! range it is an essential item for your craft stash.

This easily overlooked tool is inexpensive and unassuming, but if you haven’t worked with Stampin’ Up!’s adhesive eraser, the Adhesive Remover on page 181, you are missing out!

This little square of………..nothing……..easily and quickly removes most stray adhesives with a few quick little dabs or rubs without damaging your project! It quickly “erases” the adhesive leaving behind nothing but fresh smooth card stock, designer series paper and most other paper-based materials. I can’t craft without it because I never know when I might change my mind, go a little crazy with my SNAIL or get some Multipurpose Liquid Adhesive somewhere I don’t want it.

TIP: ALWAYS let the Multipurpose Liquid Glue dry completely before using the adhesive eraser!

NOTE: This tool does not work well on Glue Dots or the adhesive in the Fine Tip Glue Pen. To remove Glue Dots, gently roll them into as small a ball as you can and again gently lift them straight up off the paper. The adhesive in the Fine Tip Glue Pen can be wiped away when wet but know that it WILL leave a clear coating on the surface of the paper.

At less than $7 this little workhorse of a tool costs less than cents per use, takes decades to run out and can be “cleaned” simply by pulling off the balled up adhesive or using an craft knife, trimming just the sticky parts. Don’t spend extra time trying to cover a mistake – grab the Adhesive Remover adhesive eraser and whisk those projects clean!

Top 10 Must Haves from New Catalogue – No 1

With the start of a new catalogue I thought that I should give you a run down of the top 10 must haves from the new catalogue.

In no particular order and I cant choose favorites. Let me show you the top 10 Must have products that are going to be living in my craft room.

Top 10 Must Haves - Tin of Cards 2016

Located on page 160 of the new catalogue at a price of $47AUD/$57 NZD – Product Number 141651.

My plan with this kit is to get the co-ordinating Designer Tin of Cards Stamp set (Sold separately) and spend an afternoon putting the 16 cards together.

You get 4 cards and 4 different designs.

The stamp set is cute on its own, which will allow you to make many different cards with a variety of greetings. You can use it with other projects as it has multiple words that are appropriate for many projects. It can be found on page 161 at a price of $45AUD/$55 NZD – Product Number 141739

You can break the rules and not follow the instructions. Change the designs to anything you wish and alter the greetings or change the stickers.

Envelopes are included – make sure that you stamp something onto those. This is reason alone to add it to your Top 10 Must Haves

The tin itself is super cute. It has little dividers in it, which will allow you to sort your greeting cards.

I am thinking I will take this to the office and sell the cards. The cute tin wont look out of place or messy!

This is an easy project for beginners and is a great workshop idea. If you wanted to get some friends over – you buy the kits and I will bring the stamp set!

As this suits beginners and experts alike I think its a well deserved item to kick off the Stamp A Memory Top 10 Must Haves List!

I can’t show you what the inside looks like as I gave to to my valentine.

This is a super quick card that you can adjust to suit any celebration. I changed the punch from a heart to a butterfly and made a birthday card for a friend. You can also mix it up by changing what washi tape you use or the folder that you use as your background.

Why not have a try to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this card. Email it to me and I will feature it on my facebook group or blog.

Tool tip punches – Why you need punches in your stash?

Tool tip punches –  Why do you need punches in your stash of stamping goodies?

Punches are one of those items that makes making projects just that bit easier. Some punches can be the feature to your projects #punchart or they can be a huge time saver!

Stampin’ Up Punches are designed so that they can be stacked which aids the OCD in all of us to have neat storage. They can also be snipped so that they are closed which is a hand space saving feature and is very handy when packing your bags for a retreat.

Punches are designed to be used together so some fit inside others, while others complement stamp sets, reducing the need for fussy cutting (is that just an aussie term? it means cutting things out by hand).

They are the perfect item to make your greetings on your cards pop!.

My tool tip for punches is to stamp with one punch and then use a scalloped punch on a co-ordinating cardstock, as a background piece to make the perfect mount!.

How do I??

Do you ever look at some of the cards online and think how did they do that? When I was a beginning stamper I remember thinking – The cards online look great but I wont ever be able to do that. After being a demonstrator for as long as me, you get to learn how cards are done and I LOVE TECHNIQUES. Send me some tricky cards that you have seen online and lets see if we can work out together how to make that. So there is no more how do I?

Its a bit like the cupboard full of retired stock…… that’s a whole different story. So if you would like to be a in the running for a handmade card from me drop me a line and I will see what I can do… Its always so nice to get some letterbox loving…..

Hosting a workshop at any time is so much fun. It was one of the first things that made me fall in love with Stampin’ Up! There is so much to be said for getting the girls together and catching up. I love that at the same time you can be creative. With all the craziness of Christmas settling down everyone is a lot more relaxed and wanting to share times with others. A Stampin Up Workshop is the perfect idea and all you need to do is provide a space and a few cups for tea and send out some invites! Much easier than a High Tea session, even though these are fun.

One of the things that I enjoy most about doing workshops is seeing the smile on people’s faces when they say “Look what I made!!!” Do you have a friend who may not be crafty but you love catching up with maybe she is someone you could invite to your next workshop.

During Sale-A-Bration it is the perfect time to host a workshop as there are extra rewards!!!!!! Just host a qualifying party during Sale-A-Bration and earn $40 AUD more Stampin’ Rewards. You could even apply these rewards towards your Starter Kit.

My Stamping Resolutions for 2016

My Stamping Resolutions for 2016

I have been able to spend some time thinking about my stamping resolutions for 2016 since I am not currently working at my normal full time job,and what I would like to achieve for the coming year. These are some of the stamp resolutions or plans that I thought about and plan to work on for the coming year.

  • I had the usual – I plan to continue to eat clinkers to get the creative juices flowing but the growing waist line is not supportive of continuing this resolution.
  • Drink more water – I downloaded an app that sends me notifications to work on this one, so far so good but the diet coke withdrawal headache is a killer.
  • Print more photos – Santa delivered a nice cheque so once that clears from the bank I am thinking a Canon Selphy might be in order so that I can print from my iphone to the Selphy whilst in the craft room would be ideal.
  • To Project Life more frequently – I love to scrapbook but feel that I am useless if you give me a 12 x 12 piece of card stock. I love project life and how quickly you can bung out the pages. I sat yesterday and got about 6 back to back pages done and it was all so simple. I now just want to bling it up a bit more.
  • To research more about blinging up the Project Life pages. I am a member of some great PL face book groups and I am in awe of how creative these girls are. I want to research and get more ideas from them.
  • I want to not buy any greeting cards AT ALL this year.
  • I want to post more random cards
  • I want to continue my random acts of kindness ideas on pinterest and do some frequently.
  • I plan to block out time in my diary to just stamp, scrap and create in my craft room.
  • I would like to learn an easier way to watermark a number of photos quickly
  • I promise to send a monthly newsletter – have you signed up to receive this?
