Every Wednesday Stampin’ Up Releases Weekly deals and I am happy to share this weeks with you. I know that I am going to put in an order for the File Tabs Edgelits Die. Some of the girls at my catalogue launch were excited about the Tin of Cards Project kit and these Framelits will make our lives a little easier in that class.

How cute its going to be to have a little tin box full of cards and all neatly filed by the type of card that they are. That really excites my OCD Tendancies!

I am also thinking of placing one of the tins at my workplace so people can buy handmade cards to give to friends and family rather than a shop bought one.

You can click on the items below and be taken directly to my store.

Convention Swap 2015 Gold Coast

Cracked Glass Technique

Cracked Glass Technique

This is my swap for the Stampin Up Convention for 2015 on the Gold Coast. We have just arrived today and I wanted to share with you a sneak peek of my Swap. Swaps are a great way to meet people but also to get some ideas from other fellow demonstrators. It is a crazy busy time with people swapping madly, I will try and get some pictures of the madness.

So my swap is a little plain compared to other years but this is a showcasing a technique that I had wanted to try for a long time. Cracked Glass is applying layers and layers of clear embossing powder and then allowing it to dry and then cracking it. I did about 3-4 layers and just bent it carefully. Most of the time it cracked well other times if I was too rough it snapped the card. I know it may be hard to see but hopefully you can see the cracks. You can also run a sponge or ink over the cracks to make it stand out a little more. I didn’t do this on this card.

The One Product That Makes Me A Better Stamper.

Well I have been a stamper for many years now and Im heading into my eighth year as a Stampin Up Demonstrator. Today I was pondering while making some swaps for the upcoming Australian Convention and I was thinking that so many stamp sets and products have come and gone in that time. I was pondering about what Products I have loved that have gone and ones that I have stayed. I could tell you that its ink pads, cardstock or adhesives, but its not one of those things. For a while I lost this particular item and found that I was lost without it. I can be such a Messer (is that even a word?)  when stamping and if you have attended one of my workshops you will know that one of my favorite sayings is – “If it was supposed to be a perfect card you would buy it at the shop!” Well I’m not going to give it up that easy but I can tell you that it is on Page 204 of the Current Stampin Up! Catalogue. First Person to comment correctly on what the product may be I will reward them with one of these 🙂 Can’t wait to hear your thoughts
